Russell Flannery is a senior editor and the Shanghai bureau chief of Forbes magazine. Now in his 23rd year at Forbes, he compiles the Forbes China Rich List. Russell was previously a correspondent for Bloomberg News in Taipei and Shanghai and for the Asian Wall Street Journal in Taipei. He is also the editorial liaison between Forbes and its licensed, Chinese-language edition, Forbes China.
A Massachusetts native, fluent Mandarin speaker, and Russell holds degrees from the University of Vermont and the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He is married with one daughter.
