Nikolas K. Gvosdev is a professor of national security affairs at the US Naval War College. He is a senior editor at The National Interest magazine, and holds non-residential fellowships with FPRI and Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs. Gvosdev is a co-author of U.S. Foreign Policy and Defense Strategy: The Evolution of an Incidental Superpower and Russian Foreign Policy: Interests, Vectors and Sectors. He is a member of Loisach Group, a collaboration between the Munich Security Conference and the Marshall Center. He has a D.Phil. from St. Antony's College (Oxon), a M.Phil. from St. Antony's College (Oxon), a M.A. from Georgetown University, and a B.A. from Georgetown University.
